THE PULSE ENSEMBLE THEATRE
ACTING APPRENTICE COMPANY
This program was structured to serve the applicants who auditioned for our
company who we felt were very talented, but who either lacked sufficient training or experience to be considered as full company members.
Through this Apprentice Company Program, we guarantee you that whether you choose to audition for our company again or not, you will graduate from our program an infinitely more skilled actor, with sufficient technique to continue growing in your craft.
THIS IS A SIX MONTH PROGRAM
During that time Apprentices must attend a weekly acting class,
FOR WHICH THERE IS NO CHARGE
Class emphasis is acting technique for building a character.
The class focuses on:
CONTEMPORARY MONOLOGUES
CLASSICAL MONOLOGUES
SHAKESPEARE, and VERSE
IN RETURN FOR A FREE ACTING CLASS. Apprentices must Assistant Stage Manage
one of our productions, and help with various other production requirements. Apprentices must commit two hours of work to PULSE every week, and are expected to attend all PULSE productions--at no admission cost.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCEPTANCE INTO THE PROGRAM:

- ACTING TRAINING--Applicants must have studied acting and be able to perform 2 contrasting monologues in a proficient manner.
- APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A TRUE LOVE OF THEATRE, NOT JUST ACTING
- APPLICANTS MUST BE WILLING TO GROW AND DEVELOP AS THEATRE PROFESSIONALS.
- APPLICANTS MUST HAVE AN INTEREST IN BEING A PART OF AN ENSEMBLE COMPANY, DOING GROUP WARM-UPS, ETC.
- APPLICANTS MUST BE SUPPORTIVE OF THE GROUP AND THE COMPANY.
